Changelog

A running record of the small, native-feeling improvements that make Apple Notes faster with Notomo.

v1.1.0

Latest

New features

  • Added OpenCode Go and OpenCode Zen. One OpenCode API key covers both plans. Go uses your OpenCode Go subscription, and Zen bills your OpenCode balance. The model list follows the plan and includes Claude, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, MiniMax, MiMo, and Qwen. Most models accept image attachments, and the assistant can search your Apple Notes.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Homebrew installs open while offline. macOS no longer shows “Apple could not verify Notomo” when the network is down, including at login.
  • If Accessibility access is turned off, or Notomo is replaced while it is running, Notomo stops watching the keyboard so typing no longer stalls. After a replacement, the menu bar asks you to restart so keyboard shortcuts work again.

v1.0.0

New features

  • Added native web search for every DeepSeek model. DeepSeek Flash and the other models search the web through DeepSeek's Search API and read linked pages through DeepSeek's Fetch API, using the same API key as chat.
  • Added an official Homebrew Cask. Install with `brew install --cask notomo`.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Streaming assistant replies stay visibly in progress. Copy and more actions stay hidden until the reply finishes.

v0.43.0

New features

  • Added Apple Notes queries to more AI providers. With the Notes plugin enabled, ask Assistant to find notes by keyword, creation date, or modification date, count matching notes, and open originals through note links in its answers. Newly supported providers include ChatGPT accounts, OpenAI API, DeepSeek, ZAI Coding Plan, OpenRouter models with tool calling support, and custom OpenAI-compatible services that support tool calling.
  • Added GPT-6.1 Sol for ChatGPT accounts and OpenAI API, with model selection and adjustable reasoning effort.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Refreshed the model catalog and removed GPT-5.4, GPT-5.4 Mini, and GPT-5.3 Codex. Saved GLM-5.2, GLM-5.1, GLM-5 Turbo, and GLM-4.7 selections migrate to GLM-5.3 Flash, carrying over reasoning preferences when the new model has none saved.
  • Improved note query compatibility and answer handling, including retaining tool definitions in OpenRouter continuation requests, accepting available answers when the output limit is reached, and fixing response format handling in ZAI fallback requests.

v0.42.0

New features

  • Added full note text for AI requests. The current note and attached notes keep their complete text. Notomo checks the model's input budget before sending. A request that does not fit stays in the draft, and the end of a note is no longer cut off to make it fit.
  • Added native web search for Antigravity. Antigravity now uses Google's official ACP agent, which you install and sign in to from Settings. With web search set to Auto or On, Notomo allows Antigravity's search and still declines every other tool request.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Checking whether Antigravity is available no longer verifies the agent signature up front, so opening Settings stays quick. The signature is still checked when the agent is installed or started.

v0.41.0

New features

  • Added GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna for ChatGPT Account and the OpenAI API. GPT-6 Sol is the new default for both. Inline AI and automatic chat titles now default to GPT-6 Luna. GPT-6 Astra and the earlier ChatGPT models stay available, and a saved selection stays selected. Sol and Luna use a 1,050,000-token context, and reasoning can be turned off or raised up to max.

v0.40.0

New features

  • Added Grok 4.7 as the default model for Grok (xAI). Grok 4.6 and Grok 4.5 stay available, and a saved selection stays selected.
  • Added DeepSeek V4.1 Flash as the default DeepSeek model, including image attachments. Saved V4 Flash and V4 Flash Vision selections move over automatically. DeepSeek V4 Pro stays available.
  • Added a custom date format for note templates, plus the d MMMM yyyy preset. Type a Unicode pattern such as d MMMM yyyy; month and weekday names follow the app language. Slash commands keep the preset list, including the new preset. A blank or unusable pattern falls back to the language default.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Settings sidebar icons now stay a consistent size.

v0.39.0

New features

  • Added `@` mentions in the assistant so you can search and attach other notes. Each send re-reads the latest text, and a failed read keeps the draft so you can retry.
  • Added French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish as in-app languages.
  • Added localized titles for built-in Skills and templates.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Apple Notes formatting, tables, strikethrough, and links still work when Notes is not in English.

v0.38.0

New features

  • Added GPT-6 Astra as the default model for ChatGPT Codex and OpenAI API.
  • Added a setup flow that walks through Open at Login, Accessibility, Apple Notes Library access, and signing in with ChatGPT or Grok.
  • Added User Guide links in Help, Settings About, and on the website.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Settings now labels providers more clearly as ChatGPT Codex and Grok (xAI).
  • Temporary AI connection and rate-limit errors now retry automatically.
  • PopClip and similar handoffs wait until setup finishes, so the first action is not lost.

v0.37.0

New features

  • Added Apple Notes Search for Grok account models. When you ask about your notes, the assistant can search locally (on by default), show matching notes as source cards, and skip password-protected notes.
  • Added steering for a running assistant response: type a follow-up while it is generating, then send to redirect the answer.
  • Added a Usage pane in Settings that shows locally recorded token usage by model.
  • Added Gemini 3.8 Flash as the default model for Google API and Gemini CLI.
  • Added GLM-5.3 Flash to GLM Coding Plan, including image attachments.
  • Added a user manual at notomo.app/docs, with English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese guides.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Writing AI results into other apps is more reliable when Notomo falls back to paste.
  • Refined the assistant panel shadow so the window edge matches what you see.

v0.36.0

New features

  • Added a Last Used Model option for the assistant and inline AI, so each can reopen with the model you used most recently.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • The assistant now opens cleanly at its visible top edge, without an invisible area above it.
  • Improved the floating assistant workflow so its launcher and Apple Notes context stay in sync more reliably.

  • Notes is ready more reliably after it becomes frontmost, so the launcher and related controls appear sooner.
  • Table of contents now recognizes Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese heading styles.

v0.34.0

New features

  • Added custom OpenAI-compatible providers, so you can connect local or third-party Chat Completions APIs from Settings.
  • Added Gemini 3.7 Flash for Google API.
  • Added GLM-5.3 as the GLM Coding Plan model. Existing conversations and settings move over automatically.
  • Added a /datetime slash command that inserts the date and time together using your current format settings.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Grouped providers in Settings and model pickers into a clearer order, with custom providers last.
  • GLM Coding Plan can now switch between the Global and China regions.

v0.33.2

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Fixed OpenRouter credential verification so a valid API key can be checked and saved without sending a test completion.

v0.33.1

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Fixed credential verification for Google, OpenRouter, and Cloudflare Workers AI so a valid key can be saved even when the test request returns no reply text.

  • Made trial, license, and OAuth credential handling safer and more resilient, while preserving existing credentials when a check fails.
