Templates

A Template is reusable content stored in Apple Notes. Notomo syncs templates to Slash Commands and preserves the original rich-text formatting whenever possible during insertion.

  1. Open Notomo → Settings → Notes → Templates.
  2. If there is no Templates folder, click Create Folder.
  3. In the top-level Templates or templates folder in Apple Notes, create one note per template.
  4. Return to settings and click Refresh.

You can also click Add Built-in Templates to add templates such as Daily Note and Meeting Notes.

The note title becomes the template name shown in Slash Commands. The note body is inserted at the current cursor position. For example:

# Weekly Review
Date: {{date}}
## Wins
## Open questions
## Next week

The following variables are supported:

Variable Inserted content
{{date}} Date formatted using the current language and Templates settings
{{time}} Time formatted using the current language and Templates settings

Choose date and time formats at the bottom of Templates settings. Variables are replaced with the current date, time, and time zone each time you insert a template.

  1. Place the cursor at the target location in Apple Notes.
  2. Type / to open Slash Commands.
  3. Enter a template title or alias to filter.
  4. Use the arrow keys to select a template and press Return to insert it.

Notomo pastes rich-text template content when available. If only plain text can be obtained, it inserts the plain-text version. Continue editing in Apple Notes after insertion; the source template is not modified.
