Settings Overview

Choose Notomo → Settings… from the menu bar or press ⌘,. Most changes take effect immediately. Restart Notomo after changing the interface language.

General

Section titled “General”
  • Configure launch at login and the menu bar icon.
  • Switch between System, Light, and Dark appearance.
  • Choose English, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, 日本語, 한국어, Português, 简体中文, Español, or 繁體中文.
  • Review and grant Accessibility and Notes database permissions again.

Shortcuts

Section titled “Shortcuts”

Record shortcuts for Command Palette, Quick Open, Global Quick Open, Actions, and Assistant, and set the menu bar icon’s click action. See Shortcuts and Menu Bar.

Notes

Section titled “Notes”
  • Markdown syntax: Enable Markdown triggers and CJK full-width aliases.
  • Slash command: Enable the / panel and configure date and time formats.
  • Inline toolbar: Enable the selection toolbar and individual formatting buttons.
  • Floating icon: Control when the buttons in the lower-right corner of Apple Notes appear and what they do.
  • Templates: Sync templates, install built-in templates, and configure variable formats.

AI

Section titled “AI”
  • Providers: Sign in to Account providers or configure API, CLI, and custom OpenAI-compatible services.
  • Assistant: Choose the default model, custom chat instructions, conversation memory, and history retention.
  • Extensions: Configure capabilities such as Brave Search, Jina Search, and Jina Reader.
  • Skills: Sync, pin, disable, or install Skills.
