Installation and First-Time Setup

System requirement: macOS 15 or later.

Download the latest DMG from notomo.app, open it, and drag Notomo into the Applications folder.

You can also use Homebrew:

Terminal window
brew tap natsustan/notomo
brew trust natsustan/notomo
brew install --cask notomo
  1. Launch Notomo, then open Apple Notes.
  2. Grant Accessibility permission when prompted.
  3. To use Quick Open, Templates, Skills, and note links, grant access to the Apple Notes database folder.
  4. The first time macOS asks, allow Notomo to access Apple Notes through Apple Events.
  5. Click the Apple Notes editor, then try typing # or pressing ⌘K.

Start a new line in Apple Notes and type # . If the line changes to the Title style, Notomo is working.

If nothing happens, open Notomo → Settings → General, check the Accessibility status, and click the Apple Notes editor again.
