Shortcuts and Menu Bar
Notomo has shortcuts for Apple Notes and global shortcuts. Open Notomo → Settings → Shortcuts to record, clear, or restore defaults.

AI Assistant has no default shortcut. Set one to suit your workflow.
Record a shortcut
Section titled “Record a shortcut”- Find the action to change and click its current shortcut area.
- Press the new key combination.
- Click the clear button to remove the shortcut for that action.
- Use Reset to Defaults to restore default settings.
Custom combinations must include Command, Control, or Option. AI Assistant cannot use ⌘Q or ⌘,, which macOS reserves for Quit and Settings.
Menu bar icon
Section titled “Menu bar icon”At the bottom of Shortcuts settings, choose what happens when you click the menu bar icon:
- Show the Notomo menu
- Open Quick Open
- Open Assistant
Regardless of the click action, right-clicking or Control-clicking shows the menu. The menu always includes Quick Open, Assistant, Actions, Check for Updates, Settings, and Quit.
